STYLED SHOOT: ÁLVARO AND JOSECHU ENGAGED

This very special shoot with a real life couple Álvaro and Josechu was sent to us by a lovely Carolina – a wedding planner, who also tells us the story behind it. I love the intimacy and happiness of these pictures.

“WE MET IN THE OPERA…”

I was absolutely blown away when Álvaro and Josechu told me that they met in the opera, where they both were playing in the orchestra.
In a world where everyone seems to be on apps constantly, I found it terribly romantic. Álvaro actually got talking to Josechu because he thought his friend was cute, and wanted to get into his circle, but destiny played its cards. At that point, Josechu hadn’t yet come out, and found himself falling in love for the first time…
Five years have now passed by and they have become inseparable.
So inseparable that Josechu has decided to propose to Álvaro.

THE PROPOSAL

They wake up in the morning and snuggle into each other enjoying that they don’t have to go to work. Then Álvaro finds a note that leads him to a surprise brunch in the garden but, that’s not all! In a secret corner in the garden, Josechu has prepared a private picnic (or at least that is how he gets Álvaro to walk over!). Once there, Álvaro finds a note next to his favourite book, saying: “I can’t find the words to express how I feel about you, so I’ve taken the liberty of taking them from one of your favourite books.”
Álvaro opens the book and sees a paragraph underlined with a question next to it: “Will you marry me?”
On a ribbon there are two earrings, that they exchange as a symbol of their engagement.
And of course, after he said “yes” they pop the champagne!
