KENNIS AND DAISY’S ELEGANT ENGAGEMENT SHOOT
These two beautiful girls who live in Hong Kong decided to get married in UK where they met. Here’s their beautiful spring engagement shoot with Nina Pang.
TELL US THE STORY OF HOW YOU MET
We first met each other at bus stop at the University campus when we both were freshers (actually we thought of having photo shoot at the same bus stop that we met! haha). We studied different majors but our lectures were in the same campus, so we often bumped into each other between lectures. We haven’t got really close until we became flatmates in the year after and went to a part time job together. Since then, it has been 10 years that we are with each other. Time flies!
DO YOU HAVE AN ENGAGEMENT STORY?
Kennis asked Daisy out for picnic at a very beautiful lake beside Disneyland in Hong Kong. It was a special, funny and surprise moment because instead of bringing flowers, she set up the picnic area with colorful picnic mat, little triangle flags, a big basket with cutlery and food inside. And when Kennis took out the ring, there were families and kids playing around next to us lol. It was not a traditional way of proposing for sure, and Daisy did not even realize it was a proposal until seeing the ring! haha!! It was definitely an unforgettable moment!
WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION FOR THIS SHOOT?
We are currently living in Hong Kong and we planned a two-weeks UK vacation before we engaged. “Why not make use of this good time to have engagement shoots in where we met? ” That’s lead us to engagement shoot.
We went back to places in Nottingham where we had many good old memories including the city area and the Jubilee campus in the University. We preferred shooting with the nature as background i.e. grassland and trees coz we both love outdoor. Nina’s photography style is exactly what we wanted!
TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR WEDDING PLANS
We will be getting married in June 2019, in Southampton. It will be a cosy family and friends wedding ceremony followed by a simple wedding breakfast in a restaurant afterwards.
HOW DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER?
We love the natural shooting style of Nina. We are not photogenic but Nina kept the the whole shooting experience very comfortable and easy. She is very good at capturing the right moment of a scene. The photo shoot day was cold but we found it great that we didn’t need to hold a pose for too long for just one picture. The whole process went smoothly and Nina is very professional and easy-going!
