LAURA & DANICA'S LIVERPOOL WEDDING

WHAT WAS THE THEME AND INSPIRATION?

Rustic/hippy theme. A lot of pastel colours and flowers. We styled it ourselves with help from our florist.

TELL US ABOUT THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION LOCATIONS. WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE VENUE AND WHAT DID YOU LIKE ABOUT IT?

For the ceremony it was the 60 Hope St. and the iconic door made it for us! Their floral displays around their front door made it an easy choice.
We had reception at the Siren. It was a small and not a well known location. It was very intimate meaning we could have few guests who we really wanted to share our big day with. We loved the rooftop terrace and the view of the city.

FOOD

Food was amazing. Asian styled (as Danica is Filipino!)
Prawn skewers and spring rolls for starters and braised beef or marinated chicken breast with root veg and rice for main.
Dessert was our wedding cake!
For party food we had sausage butties and cones of chips on the dance floor! Everyone loved that.

CAKE

It was a simple two tier vanilla sponge – it fit in well with the rustic theme as the icing was minimal and it had small roses on top.

OUTFITS

We both wore dresses. Shocker! And we didn’t know what either was going to wear beforehand.
Laura – fitted dress with diamonte straps and a tulle skirt that could be removed.
Danica – princess style sleeveless dress
Our bridesmaids (10 in total) all wore grey dresses that they chose themselves. We wanted them to all be different and feel comfortable.

Ste made us feel very comfortable and at ease. We forgot he was there most of the time!! You never felt like a camera was in your face or anyone was making you pose for picture after picture!
The end results show how talented he is!
