Today we are going to take you for a seaside walk with Matt and Sam beautifully photographed by Amanda Karen Photography.

TELL US THE STORY OF HOW YOU MET

Sam and I went to school together – with Sam joining my school’s sixth form college. We have been together since that time, and 10 years later we are just about to move in to our first home together (before getting on with the wedding planning)!

DO YOU HAVE AN ENGAGEMENT STORY?

Sam proposed to me at our favourite seaside resort in Southwold, Suffolk, UK where we’ve spent many family holidays together over the years. I was very unsuspecting until embarking on a treasure hunt which culminated in a proposal in the sand dunes, before being surprised again by all our family members hiding in a beach hut along the promenade.

WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION FOR THIS SHOOT?

The engagement shoot was taken in and around Southwold as it’s such a special place to us both, and obviously where the engagement itself took place. Amanda photographed us at all our favourite spots across the town, capturing some very special images for us to look back on.

TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR WEDDING PLANS

So far we are in the early stages but it will be a UK wedding – preferably in a castle (or so I like to think!). I’d like it to be quite a big wedding with all our family and friends there to celebrate with us.

HOW DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER?

Amanda and I worked together until she left the corporate world to pursue her career in Wedding photography, and we’ve remained good friends ever since. I can’t think of anyone else I’d like to have capturing the important moments (and celebrating with us) on the big day.
